Fantastic Labour Party BAME Engagement event today (6th March) led by the CLP’s BAME Officer and Labour County Council candidate for Spire ward, Lud Ramsey and chaired by by Anne Frances Hayes, CLP Chair and Labour County Council candidate for Staveley.
Grateful thanks for contributions from our fantastic panel including MPs Tulip Siddiq, Tan Dhesi and Toby Perkins, Hardyal Dhinsa, Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner, Tricia Gilby, Leader of Chesterfield Borough Council and Councillor Mick Wall, as well as a guest appearance on video by David Lammy MP.
The event was attended by over 30 members and non members from an array of BAME communities who were able to raise their concerns and put questions directly to the attendees. The resulting discussion was positive and fruitful. Look out for more such events by Chesterfield’s active and welcoming CLP in the near future.
