On Monday 15th February 2021, Chesterfield CLP was proud to present a screening of the film: The Battle for Orgreave.  The session was attended by Chris Peace and Kate Flannery from the Orgreave Truth and Justice campaign, who spoke to our members and took questions afterwards.   Although harrowing in parts, the film is ultimately uplifting, showing as it does working class solidarity and victory in the face of systematic oppression.  Members can follow the work of the OTJC via their website at https://otjc.org.uk/. During the evening, many of our members shared their personal memories of the events on 18th June 1984 and many ideas for taking the justice campaign forward were examined.
